Light is a form of electromagnetic radiation that has properties of both waves and particles. It is a form of energy that keeps the Earth warm.
Light is emitted by hot objects like lasers, bulbs, and the sun. It allows the human eye to see and makes objects visible. Light travels in a straight line and at a faster rate than sound.Light exists in tiny energy packets called photons. Each wave has a wavelength or frequency, and the human eye sees each wavelength as a different color.
Light propagates as waves or oscillating photons through empty space at approximately 300,000 kilometers per second.
